To Whom It May Concern,
This is a letter of recommendation for Kaitlyn Birdsall. Kaitlyn taught under my supervision from the beginning of January to the end of February 2014 at two elementary schools in Loveland, Colorado. To appreciate the complexity of this job, you need to know that besides being at two schools, we work with about 600 students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. Due to differing schedules, many classes of the same grade level are actually on different lessons, resulting in the juggling of 10 or more lesson plans in one week. Kaitlyn took all this in stride.
I agreed to work with Kaitlyn because I was impressed with her work ethic and openness, and this served her well throughout her student teaching. She put many hours into being prepared and yet attending classes and meetings after school almost daily. I feel that Kaitlyn’s greatest strength is her own experience as a student who struggled. This has created an understanding of and a patience for students that is rare. She probably experienced in that 8 weeks about every behavior problem possible, and dealt with each with grace. She is positive, friendly, and not adverse to challenges.
Please do not hesitate to call with questions.
Sincerely,
Maggie Murphy
